| Abstract: | A chloroform extract of peelings and buds of ‘Red Pontiac’potato tubers yielded chromatographic eluates that exhibitedqualitatively and quantitatively different stimulating and inhibitingresponses on four bioassays. The essentiality of selecting asatisfactory array of bioassays, coupled with a thorough extractionprocedure, is emphasized.
