Abstract:In this issue of Cell, Kidd and colleagues (Kidd et al., 2005) describe their identification of a novel beta-catenin that functions in noncanonical C. elegans Wnt signaling pathways to specify the different fates of daughter cells produced by asymmetric cell division.
