Abstract: | Samples of faeces were obtained at weekly intervals from 12 patients in a traumatology ward. Each time 20 colonies ofE.coli were typed. The results were compared with those of similar investigations in 10 healthy adults. No difference was found between the two groups as regards changes in the residentE. coli flora, nor in the frequency of occurrence of strains often associated with urinary tract infection. |
