In situ ligands syntheses involving malic acid in hydrothermal condition

Abstract:Three kinds of in situ ligands syntheses involving malic acid, i.e. hydration, intra-molecular dehydration and isomeric transformation, have been found during studying on the syntheses of compounds 1-5. According these results, it can be concluded that the nature of metal atom affects strongly the in situ ligand synthesis, vice versa; the in situ ligand synthesis is favorable to the formation of coordination compound.
