| Abstract: | We studied the effect of varying the rate of ionophore A23187-induced calcium influx on the mean calcium content of inosine-fed human red cells in pump-leak steady state. Slow calcium infusion caused only a marginal reduction in the mean calcium content of cells in the steady state relative to their content after sudden calcium addition. |
