| Abstract: | A system which allows continuous cultivation of hyperthermophilic archaebacteria at temperatures approaching 100°C has been developed. Continuous cultivation of the hyperthermophile Pyrococcus furiosus was carried out with this system; the resulting dilution rate and gas production profiles are discussed. |
