The production of antibodies against mammalian LDH-1

The low antigenic activity of mammalian LDH-1 can be overcome by the use of polyacrylamide as adjuvant. The combination of affinity chromatography of lactate dehydrogenase and subsequent separation of the lactate dehydrogenase isozymes by electrophoresis on acrylamide provides a fast, simple, and reproducible method to produce specific inactivating antibodies with very small amounts of material.
