| Abstract: | Three genetic hierarchies control cell-fate specification in largely distinct regions of the antero-posterior axis of the Drosophila embryo, whereas a single hierarchy specifies dorso-ventral cell fates. Molecular genetic analysis of these hierarchies is leading to increased understanding of the nature of the regulatory circuitry that controls regional cell-fate specification. |
