Emerging Hazelnut Cultivation and the Severe Threat of Bacterial Blight in Chile |

| Abstract: | Severe attacks of bacterial blight were observed on young plants throughout the hazelnut growing areas in Chile. The incidence of the disease in nurseries and fields ranged from 60–90%. The causal agent was identified as Xanthomonas arboricola pv. corylina, based on phenotypic and genetic tests. |
