| Abstract: | In addition to the known isoflavonoids formononetin and (±)-mucronulatol, the vine wood of Dalbergia ecastophyllum (L.) Taub. contains (R)-8-demethylduartin. The assigned structure (II) has been confirmed by synthesis. Its absolute stereochemistry is deduced from examination of the CD spectrum of its acetate. |
