| Abstract: | In laboratory·bioassays gravid female codling moths (Laspeyresia pomonella) were stimulated to oviposit by natural α-farnesene, which is comprised of (E,E)-α- and (Z,E)-α-farnesene, and by synthetic (E,E)-α-farnesene.The probable rôle of α-farnesene in fruit location by the codling moth is briefly discussed. |
