Abstract: | Three types of neurosecretory cells ('A', 'B' and 'C' cells) have been distinguished in the central ganglion of Thais bufo. A few homogenous groups are met with and the rest are all heterogenous groups. The histochemical observations reveal that the neurosecretory material is rich in carbohydrates, disulphides, protein bound amino groups, glycoprotein and lipids. Thus the neurosecretory material seems to be a lipoprotein--glycoprotein complex. |
