| Abstract: | A technique for the isolation of functional rat pancreatic mitochondria is described. The resultant mitochondrial preparations contained oligomycin-insensitive Mg2+-ATPase activity and coupled respiration could only be demonstrated in the absence of Mg2+ and in the presence of EDTA. |
