Abstract:1. Specific activities and kinetic parameters of glutathione S-transferase(s) toward several model substrates were determined on 12, 500 g supernatants from tissues of the blue crab, Callinectes sapidus.2. Using classic aryl, aralkyl and epoxide substrates, measurable quantities of glutathione S-transferase activity were detected in gill, hepatopancreas and excretory gland.3. Specific activity was generally highest in hepatopancreas and excretory gland.
