| Abstract: | Cotyledon infection of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cultivarImproved Telegraph) results in abnormal growth and the appearanceof chlorotic lesions leading to general chlorosis of the cotyledons.The disease causes increased chlorophyll degradation and chlorophyllaseactivity. Virus-induced perturbations in chlorophyllase activityare discussed in relation to current concepts of the role ofthis enzyme in vivo. |
