| Abstract: | Abstract Enantiomerically pure novel nucleosides having unusual branched sugars were synthesized in a stereospecific manner from a common chiral pool of (S, S)-1,4-bis(benzyloxy)-2,3-epoxybutane and evaluated for antiviral activity. |
