Abstract:	The rate of synthesis of total RNA inneurospora crassa has been determined under two different conditions of exponential growth. The values obtained were compared with the previously reported rates of stable RNA synthesis: at the higher growth rate the synthesis of stable RNA accounts for a larger fraction of total RNA synthesis than at the lower grwoth rate.
