| Abstract: | Detached soybean cotyledons fixed CO2 both in the light and dark. Carbon dioxide fixed by the light and dark reactions replaced only a small portion of CO2 lost by respiration up to the 10th day. In the dark most of the 14C label was found in the acidic fraction, while in the light 65 per cent of the activity was found in the neutral and basic fractions. |
