Abstract: | SYNOPSIS. Leishmania tarentolae grown in a defined medium required both folic acid and an unconjugated pteridine. Continuous growth was obtained with folic acid at a minimal level of 0.34 ng/ml and biopterin at 1.7 ng/ml. Neopterin was about 1/100 as active as biopterin. |
