An in vitro method for the conservation and storage of garlic (Allium sativum) germplasm

Abstract:Shoot cultures of three garlic (Allium sativum) cultivars were kept in various temperatures and media in order to maintain their viability without subculture. A high level of viability was recorded after 16 months of culture at 4°C with 100 gl-1 sucrose in B-5 medium.
