A new megophthalmine leafhopper from Oregon,with notes on its biology and behaviour (Homoptera: Cicadellidae)*

A new leafhopper species of the megophthalmine genus Tiaja Oman, found in the coastal dune community of north-western North America, is described. An account is given of the biology and behaviour of the species.
