| Abstract: | Two diterpene glycosides, ent-8(17)-labden-15-O-alpha-L-rhamnoside and ent-8(17)-labden-15-O-(3'-O-acetyl)-alpha-L-rhamnoside (new natural compounds) were isolated from propolis from El Salvador. The compounds showed significant antibacterial activity and moderate toxicity to Artemia salina nauplii. These are the first glycosides reported in bee glue. |
