Abstract:Enantiomerically pure key intermediates for the synthesis of the natural enantiomer of geosmin were synthesized from (4aS,5S)-4,4a,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-5-hydroxy-4a-methylnaphthalen-2(3H)-one.
