| Abstract: | Syphilis serology must be determined in pregnant women during the first prenatal visit. An economic analysis of the serological tests used in Thailand indicates that combined VDRL and TPHA testing is the most cost-effective screening protocol. It represents an optimal alternative for systematic screening in that country. |
