| Abstract: | Some protease inhibitors use uncommon mechanisms to restrain the activity of their target enzymes. A recent paper in Chemistry and Biology (Lu et al., 2006) demonstrates a curious mechanism of inhibition of a caspase, relying on principles of native peptide ligation. |
