Gymnomitrion crenulatum und Verwandte

Abstract

All the southern hemisphere records of the European species of Gymnomitrion are rejected. Crenarion, sect.nov., is proposed. It is restricted to the northern hemisphere and comprises G. crenulatum (temperate eu-Atlantic coast of Europe), G. sinense (Yunnan, Nepal) and G. pacificum, sp.nov. (boreal Pacific coast of North America, central Japan). These three species are figured and described in detail. Gymnomitrion verrucosum is transferred to Marsupella.
