Abstract:Compared with in water, the structure and function of an enzyme in organic solvents are distinct. By designing strategies that systematically target them, enzymatic activity and selectivity in organic solvents can be improved. The effects of solvents on the enzymatic activity and selectivity are mainly disscused and the thermodynamic model of predicting enzymatic selectivity is introduced.
