Carbon isotope ratios of respired CO2 from castor bean, corn, peanut, pea, radish, squash, sunflower and wheat seedlings

Abstract:	During the first month after germination peanut and sunflowerseedlings exhibit a significant shift in the ¹³C/¹²C ratiosof respired CO₂ indicating thatcarbohydrate gives way to lipidas the respiratory substrate.
