| Abstract: | In Shenyang,Stagonospora elaeagni Y.Gao sp.nov.was found on the leaf of Elaeagnus mollis Diels.The fungus caused pale spots with brown margin.Me- anwhile,the scattered pycnidia appeared to be membranous,black,globose,slightly point- ed towards the ostiolar area,and 32.9—69.8×30—87.25μm in diameter.The spores are elliptical,10.47—17.82×4.1—6.1μm,but they sometimes are a little curved,hyaline,2—5 septa and with one end rounded and truncate at the base,constricted at the septa.The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Forest Diseases Laboratory of Institute of Forestry and Soil Science.Academia Sinica,Shenyang. |
