| Abstract: | The object of the study was to localize acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in the pistil stigmas of Pharbitis nil L. Using the cytochemical method of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) localization it was found that the product of enzymatic reaction accumulates mainly in the pellicle of the stigma surface. The possible role of AChE in the pollen-pistil interaction is discussed. |
