Abstract: | Abstract The followings are detected in the plants derived from hybridization between Epimedium diphyllum and E. sempervirens. Bombus ardens queen sucked nectar from flowers with spurs of which lengths correspond to those of the bees' proboscides. Queens of B. ardens and males and females of Tetralonia nipponensis sucked nectar indiscriminately from reddish purple and white flowers. B. hypocrita queens, which were not pollinators, perforated spurs and thieved nectar. |
