Abstract: | SUMMARY: The growth of a streptomycin resistant strain of Escherichia coli I in MacConkey's broth at 37° or 42° was not inhibited by water organisms of the genera Micrococcus, Proteus, Achromobacter and Pseudomonas , but the presence of large numbers of other members of the coli-aerogenes group resulted in retardation or inhibition of its growth. |
