Abstract:Plants make a variety of compounds in response to environmental stress, many of which function as antioxidants when consumed. The plants' own defences against oxidative stress can be used for your benefit, prolonging your life by acquiring their protection. By eating plenty of vegetables and fruit, you may help to significantly reduce the risk of many age-related degenerative diseases.
