| Abstract: | Gel chromatographic behavior of pectic substances of cell wallsof sugar beet seedlings changed with the NaCl concentration.The pectic substances were eluted in the void volume of thecolumn in the absence of salt. They were divided into two peakswhen the NaCl concentration was more than 2 mM and the secondpeak was gradually retarded and broadened as the NaCl concentrationof the eluant increased.
