Abstract:Clinical, hemodynamic, angiographic and echocardiographic findings in a patient with discrete membranous subaortic stenosis are presented. Echocardiography revealed evidence of a normal mitral valve and abnormal movement of the aortic valve with poor motion and fluttering of the anterior cusp. After a subvalvular membrane subjacent to the aortic valve cusp was excised, postoperative echocardiographic study showed normal movement of the aortic valve.
