| Abstract: | None of the 58 Moraxella catarrhalis strains grew on nutrient agar without sodium chloride supplementation, whereas 49 of 51 commensal Neisseria spp. strains tested did. Growth on nutrient agar without sodium chloride supplementation could be used for screening between M. catarrhalis and commensal Neisseria spp. |
