Carbohydrate sources for ethyl alcohol production

Abstract:Molasses and corn, the traditional sources of carbohydrate for the production of ethyl alcohol—for both industrial and beverage purposes—are being challenged by new sources. These were revealed by investigations undertaken during the last war emergency and by research within the industry which continues to investigate and evaluate potential sources of alcohol.
