| Abstract: | 7-Substituted-N(2)-(3,4-dichlorobenzyl)guanines potently and competitively inhibit DNA polymerases IIIC and IIIE from Gram(+) bacteria. Certain derivatives are also competitive inhibitors of DNA polymerase IIIE from Gram(-) bacteria. |
