| Abstract: | This paper is a further step to sort out the systematic relationship between the genera Tabernaemontana Linn. and Ervatamia Stapf et Markgraf. On the basis by studying literatures at home and abroad and by investigating the geneus Tabernaemontana in China and its neighbouring regions, we found out that the differential features of Ervatamia made by O. Stapf and F. Markgraf not satisfactory, the characteristics concluded were incomplete and incorrect.By investigating the species at home and the introduced species of Ervatamia and Tabernaemontana abroad we confirmed that the characteristics of the flowers and fruits of these two genera were just the same, therefore the author does not agree with Ervatamia (A. DC.) Stapf to be an independent genus, it should be included in Taberaaemontana Linn. Now we make the taxonomic treatment for the speies of Tabernaemostana in China and its neighbouring regions as follows:Tabernaemontana divaricata (L.) R. Br, apud Roem, et Schult.T. divaricata (L.)
