Abstract:
A new method for the oxidation of primary ad secondary allylic alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes/acids and ketones respectively is described utilizing Nocardia corallina B-276. In contrast, Pseudomonas oleovorans TF4-1L oxidized only the primary allylic alcohols but not the secondary allylic alcohols.
