Abstract:Summary A catabolite derepressed mutant of a glucoamylolytic strain ofAspergillusterreus 4 produced 1.8 times more glucoamylase than its parent; the crude enzyme preparation appreciably degraded raw starchy materials like wheat, rice, potato and barley.
