| Abstract: | The amino acid sequence of the peptide released during the conversion of bovine Factor XIII to the active enzyme by thrombin was determined. It contains N-terminal N-acetylserine and a total of 37 residues. The bovine peptide differs from the corresponding human peptide. There are 5 amino acid replacements and one deletion in the human peptide. |
