| Abstract: | The feasibility and cost-effectiveness of estimation of kappa using a case-control method of sampling, proposed by Jannarone, Macera, and Garrison (1987, Biometrics 43, 433-437), is provided support. However, in this article unrealistic assumptions in their presentation are identified and more general results for more realistic settings are provided. |
