| Abstract: | History of the studies of chlorophyll biosynthesis by Russian and Byelorussian scientists starting from those by Kliment Timiriazeff (also spelled as Timiriazev) and Nikolay ( also spelled as Nikolai) Monteverde (late 19th century) to the present time are summarized here.
