Abstract:
Highlights? Some unfolded phosphoproteins form stable complexes with amorphous calcium phosphate. ? Stable complexes require ≥3 phosphorylated residues within a short sub-sequence. ? Soft and hard tissues can co-exist in the same organism because of these complexes.
