Abstract: | The state of the interrenal gland was studied in plaices Pleuronectes pinnifasciatus and P. obscurus from two stations in Amurskii Bay (Sea of Japan, coastal zone of the city of Vladivostok), differing in the level and character of anthropogenic pollution. The individuals captured at the station with high technogenic pollution had black greasy spots on the belly and a specific odor. Despite these facts, the characteristics used to evaluate stress activation of the interrenal tissue (number of cells per unit area of glandular epithelium and the volume of their nuclei), were similar in fishes from both stations. |
