| Abstract: | During vertebrate embryonic development, the endothelial and hemopoietic systems are the first system to be specified. In this review, we will summarize recent findings about the molecular mechanisms responsible for the successive steps of the development of these systems: the differentiation of mesodermal cells to endothelial and hemopoietic cells, their proliferation and their interactions to form the vascular system. |
