| Abstract: | Two subcutaneous injections of Prostaglandin F2α THAM salt 24 hours apart terminated pregnancies in cats after the 40th day of gestation. Injections of 0.50 or 1.00 mg. PGF2α THAM salt/Kg. body weight were the most effective in terminating pregnancies. Parturition or abortion occurred within 24 hours after the initial injection in 9 cats and after the 2nd injection in 4 cats. |
