Abstract: | Rhizobizum sp. MO1, a mung bean (Vigna radiata) symbiont, produces a catecholate type of siderophore, 2,3-dihydroxy benzoic acid (DHBA), in iron depleted medium. Addition of aluminum to the medium decreased the growth but increased the production of the siderophore. |
