Abstract: | - 1.1. A viscous component of the ascites mouse sarcoma MC1M has been identified as a mucopolysaccharide which is readily attacked by testicular hyaluronidase and appears to be similar to, if not identical with, hyaluronic acid.
- 2.2. Repeated injections of purified hyaluronidase in mice inoculated with sarcoma MC1M failed to show an enhancement of tumor growth. The significance of these results is briefly discussed.
